We live and love camping.
Neuss GmbH from Immenstadt is a company that sells and rents out motorhomes, caravans and trailers. They offer a wide range of vehicles and trailer models.
They also carry out repairs and TÜV inspections for motorhomes, caravans and trailers. The company is located in Immenstadt in the Allgäu region, surrounded by the picturesque mountains of the Oberallgäu.
The team works passionately every day in the various specialist areas such as sales, service and workshop. The company has been pursuing the goal of fulfilling customers’ wishes for more than 70 years.
The company was originally founded for the production of utility trailers, but has developed over time into a contact point for leisure and camping in the Allgäu. If you would like to be part of their success story, you are cordially invited to join them.

Stages of a family business
1950 – FOUNDATION OF THE COMPANY “KLEINE SCHMIEDE”

It all started with the production of farm wagons, hay wagons and other agricultural trailers. After years of hardship during the war, ordinary utility trailers and trailers with special superstructures for tradesmen of all kinds were in particularly high demand. It took some time before demand from the private and leisure sectors could be met.
In the beginning, “production” took place in Johann Neuss Senior’s smithy and, as today, the customer’s wishes came first. He and his wife Josefa soon needed support from one or two assistants and together they ensured reliable order processing, which naturally got around. Josefa Neuss was the soul of the company for many years – for employees and customers alike – and she was also responsible for all(!) varnishing and painting work. .
Despite the hard work, there was still time and leisure to think outside the box and the signs of the times were recognized. With contemporary and prudent modernization and expansion, the former forge became a flourishing company that is still successful on the market today.
First new workshop building
It took a lot of work and business acumen to improve the production possibilities of the early years. Variety, quality and price awareness have always been Johann Neuss Senior's guiding principles and ultimately "the" recipe for success!
1963
The sale of caravans begins.
The first Tabbert caravans are added to the range.
1967
Courage and ambition are rewarded
Neuss becomes a "Tabbert authorized dealer". At the same time, the workshop for caravans is being expanded. The year 1969 is therefore a milestone in the development of the former "smithy" into a modern (service) company.
1969
Daughter Erna Neuss, a trained tax assistant, joins the family business.
1970
Son Johann Neuss Junior begins training as a blacksmith in his own company.
1971
Neuss becomes a "Dethleffs authorized dealer".
1977
the contracts with "Hobby" and "Bürstner" are added.
1980
Johann Neuss Sr. hands over the business to his daughter Erna Neuss and son Johann Neuss Jr.
1984
Conversion of the old workshop into office and store space. The relocation from the old premises was completed with the construction of the new workshop. The production of the "5,000th cattle trailer" is a special anniversary and deserves to be mentioned.
1990
Expansion of the sales rooms and connection to the workshop. "Strong as a bear" Opening ceremony in March.
1995
Bianca Neuss (daughter of Erna Neuss) joins the business.
1997
Expansion of the company premises to 7,000 square meters of exhibition space.
1999/2000
50th anniversary of Neuss". Fendt authorized dealer.
2000
Hans-Peter Neuss (son of Erna Neuss) joins the company.
2003
Authorized dealer of Globecar (panel vans).
2004
Hans-Peter Neuss successfully completes his "Diploma as a specialist caravan technician" First Rote Teufel customer event campers' meeting in Lechbruck with 100 units.
2005
Sunlight authorized dealer (Motorcaravan)
2006
Expansion of the company premises from 7,000 square meters to 12,000 square meters.
2008
Anniversary "60 years of Neuss"
2010
Bianca Neuss and Hans-Peter Neuss join the management team.
2011
Death of company founder Johann Neuss Sr.
2012
Hymer authorized dealer. Start of construction of the new warehouse on 22.07.2013.
2013
Completion of the new warehouse
2014
Second expansion of the distribution site from 12,000 square meters to 15,500 square meters.
2016
Construction of a new workshop hall and workshop reception. Opening ceremony at our fall fair on 21.10.17 and 22.10.17.
2017
Johann Neuss hands over his shares and retires from the management. New service and spare parts center
2018
New and redesigned sales offices and store, the Crosscamp brand is added.
2019
New layout of the space for the new car handover.
2020
Anniversary 70+1 (postponed due to Corona).
2021
Expansion of the service center, Erna and Bianca Neuss retire from management.
2022
Redesign of the offices in the service center, telephone reception and workshop management. Completion of the new staff social rooms.
Expansion of the rental fleet to include trailers, refrigerated vans and minibuses. Installation of a hail protection net to protect the vehicles
